1. About Maraina Studio
Maraina Studio operates an online store offering curated homeware and décor products. Our Services are hosted and supported by Shopify.
2. Eligibility to Use the Services
By using our Services, you confirm that:
You are at least 18 years old, or have permission from a legal guardian
You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
You will provide accurate and complete information when placing an order
3. Products, Availability and Descriptions
We take care to display product details, pricing, and images as accurately as possible. However:
Product colours may vary due to screen settings
Measurements may vary slightly due to handmade production
Certain items may have natural variations due to materials used
All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to discontinue products at any time without notice.
4. Made-to-Order Items and Lead Times
Some items are made-to-order or manufactured upon request.
Lead times may apply:
Manufacturing: 4 to 6 weeks
Shipping: approximately 4 weeks
Where an item is in stock, delivery timeframes will be provided at checkout or via our local delivery partner.
All lead times are estimates and may change due to production constraints, supplier timelines, or courier delays.
5. Pricing and Payments
All prices displayed on our website are in South African Rand (ZAR) unless stated otherwise.
We reserve the right to change pricing at any time without notice.
Payments are processed through secure payment gateways supported by Shopify. By submitting payment information, you confirm that:
You are authorised to use the payment method
All payment details provided are accurate
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where fraud or unauthorised activity is suspected.
6. Orders, Acceptance and Cancellation
When you place an order, it is an offer to purchase. An order is only accepted once:
Payment has been confirmed, and
You receive an order confirmation email
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including due to:
Stock limitations
Pricing errors
Suspected fraud
Incorrect customer details
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will process a refund.
7. Shipping and Delivery
Delivery timelines depend on whether items are in stock or made-to-order.
Made-to-order / not-in-stock items:
Manufacturing: 4 to 6 weeks
Shipping: approximately 4 weeks
Shipping fees (if applicable) will be shown at checkout.
We are not responsible for delivery delays caused by couriers, customs processes, incorrect delivery information, or events outside our reasonable control.
8. Returns and Refunds
Our Return & Refund Policy forms part of these Terms.
Returns are accepted within 7 days of receiving your item, subject to the item being:
Unused
In original packaging
Without wear and tear
Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.
Made-to-order items are not refundable unless faulty or incorrect.

9. Defective, Damaged or Incorrect Items
If you receive an item that is defective, damaged, or incorrect, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:
Your order number
Clear photos of the item and packaging
We will assess the issue and arrange a replacement, repair, or refund where applicable.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, images, designs, logos, branding, product photography, and layout, is owned by or licensed to Maraina Studio.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or exploit any content without our written permission.
11. User Conduct
You agree not to:

Interfere with the website’s security or functionality
Upload viruses, malware, or harmful code
Attempt unauthorised access to accounts, systems, or data

14. Warranties and Disclaimers
All products and Services are provided “as is” and “as available”.
We do not guarantee that:
The website will always be uninterrupted or error-free
Product descriptions will always be free of minor inaccuracies
Delivery timelines will always be met exactly
15. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Supplier delays
Courier disruptions
Strikes
Natural disasters
Load shedding
Internet outages
Government restrictions
